2 x 6 Open Top Box

A Big Thank You to Ronda Wade for the inspiration!

Instructions:

Items Needed:
1 sheet 8 ½” x 11” cardstock (for box body)
2 Pieces of Designer Series Paper cut at 3” wide by 5 ¾” tall
2” strip of cardstock (to make banner)
Scrap Daffodil Delight Card stock (to make Sunflower)
Scrap of Early Espresso  (for flower center)
Banner Punch
Daisy Punch
¾” circle punch
Scrap of Burlap Ribbon
Snips, Paper trimmer and Scorer, Adhesives

For Box Body:
Score 8 ½” x 11” piece of cardstock at 2” down the 11” side; this puts the 8 ½” side at the TOP of your scorer)
Turn 90 degrees (putting the 11” side at the TOP of your scorer) and score at 2”, 5 ¼”, 7 ¼”
 and 10 ½”.
Cut ½” of the top of your box.  Set aside….you will need this piece!
Fold on score lines.  Cut on score lines up to the 2” score line that goes across your box body.
Cut off small rectangle piece at the end.
Apply Tear n’ Tape along skinny rectangle edge and the flap at the bottom next to the skinny flap.
While box is flat; add two panels of Designer Series Paper.  Assemble box.
Using the ½” strip you cut off, add a tiny bit of Tear n’ Tape on both ends.  Wrap around top portion of your box.  (using the score lines to make the band easy to apply.)

Time to Decorate!
Snip a small piece of Burlap Ribbon (2”) and adhere with Tear n’ Tape.
(just overlap the cardstock band a little bit)
Create your banner with 2” strip of cardstock.
Stamp sentiment at the bottom of the banner using color coordinating ink. (this example; Early Espresso)
Add a piece of Tear n’ Tape along center of banner in the back, and adhere to box front.
Using the Daisy Punch, (punch as many as you like; I used two for the example). Lightly sponge with Daffodil Delight Classic Ink.
Use a mini glue dot or two to adhere layers of your flower together.
Using the ¾” circle punch, punch a flower center.  Adhere center with a dimensional.
Using another dimensional; adhere flower to the top portion of your banner!
Fill with a fun treat or small gift item!
