Yummy, Hot Apple Pie!

I am sharing this great Punch card from Sophia! She has such a great imagination when it comes to using her Stampin' Up! hand punches! This card is not only good for the holiday season that we are currently in; change the sentiment and what a terrific 4th of July card this would make! There is nothing more patriotic than Hot Apple Pie!
Yummy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, I wish I could take credit for is cute pilgrim. But the actual punched pilgrim (Yes, I did say PUNCHED pilgrim—he is made out of all SU! punches!) himself was designed by Ellen Kemper!

Wanna know how it’s done?

Feet: Butterfly punch cut in half
Buckles for hat and shoes: Slit punch first, then Word Window cut in half and edges rounded
Ankle/Calves: Word Window
Legs: Small Oval
Belly: 1 3/4 Circle punch
Collar: Half a tag punch with cut triangle slit
Arms: Small oval first with Wide Oval punched over to make oval donut :o)
Head: Ornament punch
Ears and Nose: 1/2" Circle punch
Eyes: 1/4" Circle punch
Hat: Tag punch trimmed
Hat brim: Word Window punch extended in length (if you want) by feeding cardstock threw the back opening of punch
Hair: Just the Ornament punch again — cut on the edge and slit up randomly to make the hair strands.
Cuffs: were just freehand cut squares.

Hope you all enjoy your day!

Technique Tuesday....Faux Metal

Directions:
1) Cut card stock to desired size and stamp a VersaMark pad over the entire piece. Sprinkle Gold or Silver Stampin' Emboss powder over card stock piece.

2) Heat powder using heat tool. Sprinkle on additional powder while the image is still hot, and reheat. Repeat at least three times.

3) To create image, ink your stamp with VersaMark ink (to avoid sticking) and press into warm layers of embossing powder.

Tip:Have your inked stamp ready to use immediately after the last time you heat the powder. If you wait too long, the embossing will harden to the point that you won't be able to create an impression with your stamp (if this does happen, simply reheat the card stock piece.)

Saturday Sketch #6 example

This example comes from one of my UDI and Late Night Stampers sisters, Gretchen Barron. She is extremely talented and is always posting sketches. As you can see in this picture, she has even added a little extra pizzazz to the inside of the card.
