Scenic Art

Most of you who know me; know that I LOVE realistic scenic views for my stamping and brayering.  When I saw this card recently posted on one of the demonstrator sites; I just had to share it with you.  The name of the gal who created this is Beth Germs.  What a fantastic job!

My favorite part of this card is the dimensional layering!
This would make a fabulous addition to a scrapbook page as well!

Merry Sock Monkey

I have some Sock Monkey Fans and so I thought I would share a fantastic card from Andrea Walford's blog.  How adorable is he in this Santa hat?  Andrea and Sophia (her sister) always do such a fabulous job.  Some of the hardest stamp sets become so simple with the inspiration from these ladies.
Hope you enjoy their work as much as I do!

Tool Time Tuesday!....Clear Mounting Stamps

Have you checked out the Clear Mount Stamps from Stampin’ Up!? I said “Clear Mount” not “Clear Stamps”. These stamps are the same quality Red Rubber Stamps that we have come to expect from Stampin’ Up!. They are just made to be used with a clear block instead permanent wood blocks. They are also a bit less expensive. They come in DVD size storage boxes, awesome! I can store 3 of these sets in the same space that it takes to store one wood mount set in. Think, tripple your stamp storage. You could have tripple the stamps without your husband catching on! lol.

When you get your stamps they will be in a sheet. You will punch out the stamps one at a time and mount the sticker on them.

It has a paper backing. Peel that off.

Now you can see these stamps already have a great foam backing.

This is the sticker sheet.

Peel the paper backing off of the image you are using. There is a slit in the middle of the paper backing on each sticker to make this easy.  Leave it on the sheet, just take the backing off.

Line your stamp up to the outline on the sticker sheet and press firmly.

Lift the stamp up and your sticker is mounted perfectly on the back of the stamp.  This side is what sticks to the acrylic blocks.   When you go to stamp it you can see the image through the block so you know just where it is going to stamp.
Now about the clear blocks, you can purchase them from Stampin’ Up! singly, or in a set.  Stampin’ Up also sells this awesome case to store your blocks in.

Annual Retreat Hour 2....Part 1

"Tags, Tags, Tags"!  was the theme for the 2nd hour of Retreat
Group 1 started with Halloween Tags!
They were able to mix n' match with the supplies they had in their kits; these were the tags I made as examples!
Batty For You and Baroque Motifs stamp sets were used here!
Love the Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie cardstock for Halloween colors!

This is not the best picture, it is a bit on the dark side. (Sorry!)
This was the 1st project at this year's Annual Retreat!
Can you believe that this was our 5th year?
We all had a great time!
This project is a 6x6 recipe card!  Garden Green, Whisper White & Real Red cardstock were used.
I was going for a more, old world, vintage look. So we used Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Soft Suede inks.  I chose the Very Vintage Wheel, Sense of Time stamp set and added just a few of the large swirls from the Priceless set!
We were all to bring an Italian Recipe to exchange! Now I have some new recipes to try!
The night's dinner was themed "Little Italy".  We had Spinach Lasagna, salad and Garlic Bread! Yummy!
Then we headed over to Cabin #6 to start stampin'.
I will be posting the projects and some fun highlights from this years event throughout the week!
(It was a late night!  We did manage to get to bed by 2:00 AM!  Lots of giggles going on in our cabin!)

Black & White & Pumpkin?

Sometimes a simple Black & White card does the trick!
The small oval was used to make the Pumpkin.  The center oval was adhered using a Dimensional.  Just enough to give it a bit of a "punch".

Owl Silhouette

This was one of the projects we did at Bonnie's today!
I found the basic idea online; however I can not remember where.
Don't you love how the Rhinestone Jewels double as Stars for this card!
My favorite is a Harvest Moon; I think this card represents it well.
