Product Showcase!

Well, of course, you will use Stampin' Up's coordinating re-inkers to keep those 48 Stampin Up! original colors and Stampin' Up's 6 yearly In-Color inkpads "alive". To re-ink my inkpads, I just squeeze and "zig zag" the re-inker bottle tip across the stamp pad in one direction, then switch and squeeze and "zig zag" the re-inker across the ink pad in the other direction. Close the inkpad and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the ink to soak into the inkpad. You now have a fresh, vibrant inkpad to stamp with!
How about another way to use your re-inkers? If your Stampin' Write Markers should become a little dry or the color a little faint, just hold the marker with the wide end up and drop 2-3 drops of re-inker directly into the marker. You now have a fresh marker with renewed color! (Another tip--Be sure to store your markers in a horizontal position so the ink will stay balanced between both ends.)

So many things can be done with the reinkers! You use them for the Shaving Cream Technique shown above or with the Coffee Filter Technique shown below. I also like to use them with the Baby Wipe Technique and the Graffiti Technique! There are TONS of fun things to use reinkers for!
Since there was no winner for the Build A Roo.....Let's try again! For those of you who emailed me, I appreciate all the comments, but in order for them to count towards the Blog Give Aways, you must post your comments here!
So, since our little ROO is looking for a new home, so in order to be in the running to adopt this little guy, you must sign up to follow my blog (on the left side bar) and you must post each day to the current post from now until August 31st! On September 1st, I will use the random generator to choose who will get to adopt little ROO!
Ready, Set, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's in a card?

I have been recently asked "Why do you make cards?" WHAT! Are You Kidding?
Well, here is the answer!
I like to make cards to brighten someone's day. How many times have you gone to the mailbox not looking forward to the bills, or just to find that you box is stuffed full of junk! How fun is it to find a nice card waiting in the mix? It's a fabulous feeling, isn't it? It doesn't have to be a special occasion. Just dropping a line to say hello is enough to give anyone a heart warming smile.

Gift Giving is another reason I like to make cards. I love to give boxed sets of cards. Personalizing them to someone's style and needs gives them a gift they can use and one that saves them money in the future. (A store-bought card is at least $4, and try finding one with a picture and a sentiment you like. Well, frankly that can take a long time or maybe not even happen! We tend to "settle" for something that will work....)

I have a great life, but like a lot of you, I sometimes find myself in a mood. Card-making gives me time to relax, create something and get my head straight. This is a HUGE stress reliever!Crafting done with others often gives the time for us to chat; people share and you realize it's not just you. And, if you pay attention, you'll learn a lot more then just craft tips!

I am sure that everyone, fits into at least one of these catagories! So there you have it! This is why I like to make cards! Happy Stampin'!

The winner of the Retro Mix Wheel is.......GRANDMA MARILYN! Congratulations!

Well Convention is now over! We had so much fun and almost NO Sleep!
Here is a quick story to tell you how I finished my Convention Experience......So, we have been enjoying some great food while we have been here! Z'Tejas (Mexican food, yummy!) Olive Gardens (fabulous Italian!) Acme Burger (the best burgers ever!) and then there was this evening's dinner. Biaggi's, again an Italian dinner....I ordered a spinach stromboli (very tasty!).
Michael ordered Lobster Fettuccini....I tasted it, not too bad! (For those of you who know me, know that I am a picky eater and I do not eat seafood! Well the pasta was kind of a dark blue color, so we asked the waiter what kind of pasta it was.....BIG MISTAKE! He tells us that the pasta has been infused with squid ink! YUCK.....PHEW......ICK! The bottom line, dinner was not "INK"alicious! I will stick with the strombolli next year!

Alright, there is only one day left and two drawings to go before "Contest A Day" is over....Good Luck and remember to post tomorrow!
